Love With Care

Amy
The cry of a bird,
A happy or sad word.
A day full of strife,
So the cry of the heart pierces like a knife.
Be careful heart, be careful who you love,
For some will promise, turn, and fly above.
But harden your heart not,
Remember, love cannot be bought.
Love as Jesus did,
And of compassion, don't be rid.
Hate people not,
For your love may be all they've got
Isn't that last line so powerful? Good job, Amy and thanks for letting me post this so that others may benefit from your reminder!
Thanks for sharing my poem!

ReplyDeleteJob well done, Amy. It made me tear a little when I read it.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it super? Are you back from Hawaii yet?
DeleteThanks Cara. I have an even sadder one called a Cried Prayer. It is on my blog! Living In Faith And Fun.
